Charles DeLint, one of my favorite fantasy writers. This book gives me that strange nature feeling...

Scott McCloud's treatise on the whys and wherefores of what comics are. If you create comics, I recommend just to know why we do this

In my opinion, the best "everyman" survival guide out there. Some profanity (mild). Lundin not only knows his stuff, but also manages to present it very understandably.

Dave Lowry, a traditional martial artist, is one of my favorite writers on the martial Arts. He's a japanese traditionalist and terrbly opinionated, but his stuff appeals to me. THis is the first of two biographical books about being a student of the Shinkage Ryu.

Spiritwalk, the sequel to Moonheart. Seems it's only available used.
For anyone interested in creating their own trade paperback comic... Tom's Field guide to survival. Mostly covering primitive skills.
More Lowry, this time with essays on the traditions of the budoka and the bugei.

The first in Barb Hambly's Darwath Trilogy. My favorite fantasy books. Magic and tracking!
Vagabond is a comics-version adaption of Eji Yoshikawa's MUSASHI novel, and is one of the most amazingly drawn narratives in comic history. Inoue is one of the best artists in the field. and yes, I know this should go under Martial Arts, but the drawing puts it here!

The book that started me on the Tracker/Scout path, and arguably Tom Brown's most accessible book.

Tom Harmer spent several years with some of the Native families in Washington State's Okanogan area. The first or two books, it's one of the most interesting stories of Shamanism I've ever read.

The 2nd Darwath book.
The second book in the Vagabond series, just in case you wanted to get two at once. This is the first book in the Kamana Nautralist Training Program. Highly recommended for those who want to learn about nature. (though you might be able to get a better price thru the school)

Tom Harmer's second book, in my opinion, even better that the first. Particularly funny are the indian groupies...

The third book in the Darwath Trilogy. There are at least 3 more after...
Alita is another very weel drawn Manga series I really enjoy, this is the first of several books. One of the best and most comprehensive tracking guides you will EVER find. One of the things we all have trouble with is being in the present moment. An excellent book on the subject.
